Join Imagine Boston 2030 at Millennium Place for a walking tour of downtown’s high rise areas as we learn about how the downtown has evolved recently; share our vision for expanding opportunities in the area; and discuss the service and infrastructure improvements needed to serve the area’s existing residents, businesses, and newcomers.

At 10:30 am, join Imagine Boston 2030 for a walk from Franklin Park to Moakley Park and hear from City leaders about our vision to connect Boston’s neighborhoods and open spaces

This free walk will include visits to Leverett, Willow, and Ward’s Ponds in Olmsted Park as well as a portion of Jamaica Pond. Participants should bring a field guide and binoculars and wear boots or shoes they don’t mind getting muddy.

The Boston Park Advocates are hosting a half day advocacy workshop. Gather with fellow open space advocates from across the city to hone your effectiveness as a community leader, share information, and generate specific ideas for park improvements that can be funded by the newly passed Community Preservation Act (CPA).
