About ABCD

ABCD is a nonprofit human services organization that each year provides more than 100,000 low-income residents in the Greater Boston region with the tools and resources needed to transition from poverty to stability and from stability to success.

To fulfill this purpose, ABCD uses a comprehensive approach that systematically addresses the range of barriers faced by households in poverty, from day-to-day crises to long-term needs for jobs and education. Read more.

ABCD’s Winter Fund Coat Drives help families in need with warm clothing for the harsh winter months.  It’s not just for comfort: going outside without adequate protection against the cold is dangerous. During the winter, the elderly are at a higher risk of heart attacks, and children are vulnerable to hypothermia and pneumonia.

Winter places a huge strain on the budgets of poor families. Your gift of winter clothing will directly benefit those who need it the most.

We've received nearly 300 donations so far for our Winter Clothing Drive!

Visit for a full list of dropoff locations, and visit our friends @HelloGreenway to drop off donations at the Greenway Carousel every Saturday from 1-1:30PM, now through Dec. 18!
