Tour and discover the history of the Muddy River in the Back Bay Fens, led by a Conservancy docent. This tour will begin and end at the entrance to REI at the Landmark Center.
A walk through the centuries of a historic urban landscape. Hear the story of how Frederick Law Olmsted transformed an area of polluted waterways and mudflats into a scenic fens, and the later 20th century revisions that resulted in the parkland we see today.
Join the Boston Symphony Orchestra and the Boston Pops for a free outdoor concert at the Franklin Park Playstead- their first ever joint concert in a public outdoor venue! Food and family activities will also be available, starting at 1pm.
