Family-friendly fall biking

About the event

Join the City of Boston for a free, safe, and family friendly bike ride throughout Franklin Park and surrounding areas. Choose to ride 9-mile route, 2.5-route, or 0.5-loop for beginners and balance-bikers. Or join Fitness classes instead!

Ride and Chill will also feature a festival at the Shattuck Picnic Area with free bike programming, dance and fitness classes, bike repair clinic, local DJ, live music band, and food vendors.

The event is sponsored by Wayfair and Blue Cross Blue Shield.

The world didn't start with Olmsted. For millennia before and in the centuries since Frederick Law Olmsted designed the Emerald Necklace park system for a rapidly industrializing city and metropolitan area, the lands and waters of and around Greater Boston have served as a site of exchange among communities including the Massachusett, Pawtucket, Wampanoag and Nipmuc peoples. The Emerald Necklace Conservancy acknowledges the Greater Boston region as their unceded ancestral territories. This acknowledgement is a starting point toward right relations with Indigenous neighbors and their understandings of land stewardship.
