DESCRIPTION:This winter\, the trees on Commonwealth Avenue at Charlesgate Park are shining emerald green to spotlight the intersection of the Emerald Necklace and Commonwealth Avenue Mall! \n\n\nComplementing the annual lighting of the Commonwealth Avenue Mall\, ten Japanese zelkova trees will be lit at Charlesgate and adorned with green lights to distinguish Charlesgate as the connecting point between the Commonwealth Avenue Mall and the rest of the Emerald Necklace\, and to raise awareness of the ongoing efforts to restore Charlesgate Park. \nThe lighting ceremony will take place Thursday\, December 1 at approximately 8PM around 15 Commonwealth Avenue\, in conjunction with the lighting of the Commonwealth Avenue Mall. The green Charlesgate lights will be located along the intersection of Commonwealth Avenue and Charlesgate East\, and will remain lit each night through March 2023. \n

DESCRIPTION:After a three year hiatus\, 10-in-1 LivableStreets’ annual StreetTalk is back in person and we can’t wait to see you! Returning to the Old South Meeting House\, we will have ten speakers on ten different topics in one location to talk about issues regarding transit advocacy\, climate justice\, protecting our greenways\, equitable housing + land use policies\, and more!
