SUMMARY:Free BSO and Boston Pops Concert in Franklin Park
DESCRIPTION:The Boston Symphony Orchestra and the Boston Pops are joining forces for their first-ever joint concert in a public outdoor venue! The Emerald Necklace Conservancy is proud to be a Community Partner for this unique event\, which will include modern and classical musical selections\, local food vendors and a variety of family-friendly activities\, including a walking tour led by the Conservancy! \nPre-concert events begin at 1pm. The event is free and hosted by the Boston Symphony Orchestra and Boston Pops in partnership with the City of Boston. The Playstead is a 15-minute walk from Green Street Station on the Orange Line and a short walk from the Circuit Road @ Glen Street stop on the Route 16 bus. Lot and street parking is also available nearby.

DESCRIPTION:Join us for a day of cultural activities in the Fenway. The Emerald Necklace Conservancy invites visitors to take an educational walk in the park with all-day events at the Shattuck Visitor Center. Borrow a Bird Discovery Kit (binoculars\, identification cards and guides) and enjoy the abundant bird life in the park\, or view the illustrated planting guide to see how many plants you can identify! A guided walking tour that explores the history\, landscape\, and hidden gems of the Back Bay Fens will take place from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
