As Youth Programs Coordinator, Julia Golomb draws from her rich background in permaculture design and youth leadership to coordinate and implement the summer Green Team and the academic year Youth Leadership Program. Since graduating from Vassar College in 2008, Julia has practiced permaculture and dryland gardening on the island of Paros, Greece, lived and worked with individuals from around the world at a South Indian eco-community and reforestation project called Sadhana Forest, served as a Crew Leader with The Food Project in Boston, and taught field ecology to an international group of high school students at a residential summer program at Amherst College. Julia enjoys cycling, exploring new places, and picnics at Jamaica Pond. She is excited to help the Conservancy cultivate the next generation of park stewards.
