Thirteen volunteers participated in our first 2009 woodland planting day. In Olmsted Park’s woods we planted over 100 bare-root or plugs of chokeberry, pagoda dogwood, gray dogwood, redbuds and viburnums. Planting will continue the next couple of weeks.
On June 6 we plan to water these plants again (if it hasn’t rained that week), resume soil rejuvenation, and continue pulling garlic mustard (if it hasn’t gone to seed).
