Backpacking Trip: Tonya and Shanee

On April 30th, we went to New Hampshire for a camping trip. When we got there, we got settled in into Cardigan Lodge. After we were settled we cooked food and played cards and prepared for our hike the next day. The day of the hike we were all excited and couldn’t wait to get started, however our mood changed when Kate told us we are going to be hiking for about 5 hours and 4 miles up the White Mountains. Up the mountain there was a High Cabin waiting for us to enter.

In the high cabin we was playing cards, we also prepared dinner and s’mores. After dinner we joked around for a bit, some of us were up really late playing card games screaming and banging on the table. We were so tired and achy but we were proud of our achievement and what we were able to do. We went to sleep on a good note and when we woke up the next morning, we prepared to hike back down to the lodge. We all just wanted to get back to Boston and sleep in our own bed’s and eat our own food. We never experienced nothing like this before but at the same time we all had fun and we would like to do it again.
