Backpacking Trip: Raynel

The camping trip was one of my favorite life experiences up until now. We left Boston on April 30th and came back on May 2nd. That first night out at the lodge we all couldn’t sleep well because we where in a strange environment and we weren’t feeling really comfortable on those beds.

On the morning of May 1st we ate breakfast early in the morning and got ready to hike up the mountain. We all got hydrated by drinking a lot of water and then started hiking up the White Mountains. When I woke up that morning, I thought I couldn’t do it, but never gave up and I always looked back to see the guys. I saw them struggling to keep up so I put my self in a position to not let myself give up or to fall behind.

When we got to the top of the mountain I felt a release. After the struggling I felt the freedom of saying “I made it,” but that wasn't the end of the day. We still had to go down at least a mile to get to High Cabin where we were going to spend the night. That night every body talked about missing their homes and the city of Boston and talked about the experience they had that day. The next day we woke up got ready to hike down. We hiked almost the whole morning; for like three stray hours. Then we finally got to the lodge where we first started hiking.

I WOULD DEFINITELY DO IT AGAIN!!!
